Ziggy and Quacker share a tender moment during their play time. Ziggy is the son of a puppy-mill rescue dachshund. Quack and Quacker grew up in a trailer park in Ellijay, GA and when their owner became tired of them, they came to the lake with us. They almost drowned upon their first introduction to the lake at our dock since they did not know about water and could not swim.

Dachshunds are my favourite kind of dog. There is an old man in my neighbourhood whom I see out sometimes walking his dachshund, and I call him “Dachshund Man,” as if he were a superhero, because I’m weird.
Ducks are ok too, but they bite. It’s not too bad, unless they bite you right between the thumb and forefinger. That hurts.
